The family was raised and born in Pennsylvania Molly started her professional career when she was thirteen years old at Philadelphia s Prince Music Theater in a production called The Snow Queen. Then she was nominated as a Barrymore Award nominee for her part as Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. It was recast by Molly when she made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway, in 2002. The show won her an award from the Drama League Award for this performance.
