American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her career in supporting roles in the teenage comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Then, she portrayed the role of reporter Willa McPherson in FX's show Dirt. She also had an appearance as a support character on the short-lived FX series The Ex List. She was Kaylee, a young Moira on the first season on FX's American Horror Story. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead, and Sophie on The NBC show This Is Us. She has voiced various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was a resident of Darien, Connecticut, until when she was 10 when her mother and she moved to California. They lived for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she began taking an interest in photography, acting and singing. When she was 15 she moved with her mom back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
